Global Tufts Initiatives
In addition to serving as a university resource for global activities, the Global Tufts team oversee initiatives including Global Integrated Learning & Design (GILD), the Global Perspectives Photo Contest, Global Tufts Month, the Global Research Assistant Program (GRAP), and International Affiliations and Agreements.
Global Integrated Learning & Design (GILD)
Global Integrated Learning & Design (GILD) is designed to encourage and support faculty in creating course-based experiential learning and/or co-curricular research opportunities that are international, cross-cultural, often interdisciplinary, and enhance students’ capacities to engage in complex problems.
Global Perspectives Photo Contest
The annual Global Perspectives photo contest celebrates all of the global experiences that Tufts undergraduate and graduate students participate in while studying, working, interning, or conducting research abroad. Winning photos are showcased each year across Tufts campuses and online.
Global Tufts Month
Global Tufts Month is a month-long series of events across all of Tufts’ schools and centers, designed to:
- Showcase the breadth of global engagement by faculty, students and staff in education, research and policy and civic engagement work.
- Celebrate Tufts' commitment to global engagement, international exchange and global learning.
- Promote connection and dialogue across schools and across disciplines on global issues.
International Exchanges and Affiliations
Tufts University has partnerships with universities and institutions all over the world. These partnerships promote student and faculty exchange, research collaborations, and other programs. An interactive list of current, active agreements is available to members of the Tufts community here.
