Tufts Civic Semester: Thailand
Tufts Civic Semester is a transformational first-semester program that combines academic and experiential learning with a focus on community engagement and social and environmental justice. Based in Chiang Mai, Thailand, participants join a small cohort of 10-12 peers to create a living and learning community which engages deeply with important social issues through Tufts coursework and by supporting and learning from local community organizations. Our Thailand program focuses on indigenous rights, environmental conservation, and sustainable development.
SMFA: Hamburg Exchange Program
The University of Fine Arts, Hamburg (HFBK) created a semester exchange program for students from several international art schools, including SMFA at Tufts, where international MFA students travel abroad to live and work together in loft studio apartments in the creative hub of Hamburg, Germany.
Greeks, Romans, and Celts in the South of France
This two and a half-week program takes place at the American College of the Mediterranean/Institute for American Universities (IAU) in Aix-en-Provence, France and provides an overview on how the Greeks, Romans, and Celts in Ancient Gaul (modern France) influenced French culture and history.
