TUSM Global Health Seminar Series: Allyship in Global Health
Mar 14, 2023, 12pm EDT
Global health is a field that was born out of colonialism, and is dominated by individuals and institutions in high-income countries. If global health is to be reimagined, people who typically hold power must master the art of allyship, where they see their primary role as allies rather than leaders. Professor Madhukar Pai will discuss how global health practitioners can practice allyship to enhance equity in a highly inequitable field. All faculty, staff and students are welcome to join.
