CHAT Fellow Seminar: What Impact Did Slavery Have on the Life of Historical Jesus?

Join us October 30 for a CHAT Fellow presentation about the life of historical Jesus and its impact on Mediterranean slavery, presented by Chance Bonar. Chance completed his PhD at Harvard University in the Committee on the Study of Religion, and also holds an MAR from Yale Divinity School.
Bonar is a postdoctoral fellow in the Center for the Humanities at Tufts University, whose research and teaching primarily focus on ancient Mediterranean religion, slavery, antisemitism, gender-based violence, and theories of authorship. He has two forthcoming projects: God, Slavery, and Early Christianity: Divine Possession and Ethics in the Shepherd of Hermas (Cambridge University Press) and The Author in Early Christian Literature (Cambridge Elements, Cambridge University Press).
