to

Mar 30, 2023, 12pm EDT

2016 marked the official end of the Columbian Conflict—the longest armed conflict in the Western Hemisphere. The conflict affected over 15 million people and greatly impacted surrounding ecosystems. Kimberly Theidon will dive into the effect the conflict has had on the Atrato River, and the Afro-Colombian, Indigenous, and peasant communities of Urabá. Content warning: violence and sexual assault may be discussed. This event is part of Tufts Environmental Studies' weekly environmental lectures.
