About Us

The International Center team welcomes you to Tufts University, the home to more than 1,400 international students and 300 international scholars and faculty from over 80 countries around the world!

The International Center provides services, programs and resources to support Tufts University's international student and scholar community across all of Tufts's campuses. We have offices at three different campus locations. Our main services include immigration advising and visa documents, programs and eventsthat welcome and support students and scholars, and one-on-one advising to provide information and resources on all matters of concern. Our mission is to support international student and scholar success at Tufts, while working to promote international educational and cultural exchange and campus-wide global engagement, awareness, and advocacy.

Since 2018, the International Center is a central administration unit under the Office of the Provost. The Center reports to Diana Chigas, Senior International Officer and Associate Provost, and is led by Andrew Shiotani, Director.
