COVID-19 Travel Information
Based on guidance from international, national, and local agencies, all university-sponsored, connected, or funded international or domestic travel by students, faculty, and staff is prohibited. These restrictions are in effect for students through August 20, 2020, and through June 30, 2020 for faculty and staff.
The situation will be reassessed at monthly intervals to determine whether a revision or extension of the restrictions for students and for faculty and staff may be warranted, based on international, national, state and local guidance. Given the uncertainty of the situation, faculty, staff and students should be prepared to postpone (or cancel) any programs or work that require travel and/or transition to an alternative, remote mode.
We strongly encourage any faculty making tentative travel plans for research after June 30, 2020 to use Tufts’ travel providers (Egencia or the Travel Collaborative) to book travel, as you will be able to obtain reimbursement for cancelled travel as a credit to your account. Faculty must register international travel with the Tufts Travel Registry. If travel plans are canceled or postponed, email email@example.com with the change.
