For Graduate and Professional Students

Tufts offers doctoral programs in Arts, Sciences, and Engineering in fifteen areas and master's programs in thirty. Our faculty, a community of scholars and researchers, are eager to involve graduate students in their research and teaching agendas. Students may also pursue practice-based master's degrees or graduate certificates in a number of areas. In addition, we offer post-baccalaureate programs in premedical studies and computer science, and the opportunity to select individual courses through the Graduate Career Advancement Program.The School of Arts & Sciences, the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences and the School of Engineering offer extensive and highly regarded liberal arts, sciences and engineering programs that draw outstanding students from around the world with the highest academic achievement and standing.

Tufts also has six renowned professional schools.

The Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine (the only one in New England) boasts signature programs in international veterinary medicine; equine sports medicine; wildlife medicine; veterinary medicine ethics and values; and biotechnology.

The distinguished Fletcher School is America's oldest graduate school for international relations.

The globally renowned Gerald J. and Dorothy R. Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy with a USDA Human Nutrition Research Center is focused on the impact of nutrition on healthy aging.

An internationally affiliated School of Dental Medicine trains dentists as expert clinicians with strong biomedical backgrounds.

The School of Medicine and Sackler School of Graduate Biomedical Sciences have clinical affiliations with thousands of doctors and researchers in the U.S. and around the world, as well as with their affiliated hospitals in Massachusetts (including New England Medical Center, the Lahey Clinic and Bay State Hospital).

The Jonathan M. Tisch College of Citizenship and Public Service is a university-wide initiative that seeks to develop creative, effective approaches to active citizenship at the university and in communities around the world. The values and skills of active citizenship are the hallmark of a Tufts education.

<h4>A Dental Education Delivered to your Doorstep</h4>

<p>Unlike most first-year students at Tufts, the students in the School of Dental Medicine's distance education program -- the first of its kind in the world -- don't get together on campus for study groups. Instead, they remain in constant communication with the school and each other from their homes around the world as they earn their M.S. degrees in craniofacial pain and temporomandibular joint disorder.</p>

What makes him run? "I'd just like the world to be a better place when I go," he says. "And it's fun doing this stuff."</p>
